We walk our Suffolk fields with our growers each week and quality check each of them, this enables us to see how the crop is growing and when to send the Harvester team in! Each field is tagged so we can trace back every vegetable grown, to the exact field it was grown in, providing you with full “field to fork” traceability. Our unique Sandlings land base has a micro climate that protects it from the harshest of winter frosts and has lower summer temperature than comparable inland areas; this allows our farmers to grow crops to bridge the shoulders of classic UK Vegetable production seasons. By extending the British growing season, this allows us to provide the best local kitchens with the best locally grown produce.
Quality starts with good seed and great land and our growers have the best in the country. We select the best growers for each specific crop and then we apply a little Humdinger TLC as they are graded, washed and packed. Taking the field heat out of our crops ensures they reach you as if they were dug from your own garden; we even wash our vegetables so you don’t have to.
